Pair of Louis XVI period armchairs, made of molded, carved, and gilded wood, gondola-shaped. The armrest supports are molded with grooved consoles. The four tapered, round-section legs are also decorated with grooved consoles and stylized leaf rings and friezes, connecting dice under the armrest console. Reworked with gilding. Completely reupholstered by our workshops with a fabric from Lelièvre in Paris. Inventory numbers 3077 and 3078 inscribed under the rear crossbar. It is quite rare to find this type of chair in pairs and in such good condition. Gilded wood remains a must-have for lovers of 18th-century furniture. Louis XVI period, circa 1780. H X W X D = 93 X 72 X 77.
