Exceptional Art Nouveau Tiffany Style "Lotus Flower" table lamp, from a private collection, dating from the 1970s-80s. The lamp features a base, which is an impressive piece of cast metal with a textured dark patina. It intricately recreates a botanical scene. Two large flat "lotus leaves" (or water lilies), whose interiors are filled with the same shell-textured glass in a vibrant green tone, are set into the metal. A metal stem with an aged brass finish in the shape of a swan's neck suspends the shade above the base. The heart of the piece is the shade made in the Tiffany style using the copper foil technique. The glass is not flat; it has a distinctive texture on the outside, creating a magical and soft light diffusion, mimicking organic surfaces. It features a geometric mosaic of triangular and trapezoidal segments that form a flared tulip shape with a wavy edge, blending subtle and warm colours (yellow, amber, lavender, milky white) with colour accents.
