A pair of armchairs designed by eberhard geißler, produced at the oelsa furniture factory in rabenau, east germany, in 1978. These modular armchairs can be transformed into a sofa by connecting the two modules with butterfly screws. The structure is crafted from upholstery foam, wooden boards and wood with the seats supported by webing and wave springs. Armchairs are upholstered in a soft fabric in a rich deep purple hue. Additional modules are available upon request. These armchairs capture the innovative and flexible spirit of 1970s design, where furniture was created with multi-functionality in mind. Sofa dimensions: height 70cm, width: 151cm, depth: 82cm, seat height 42cm.
