Hay table lamp pierre charpin

The famous french designer pierre charpin expands his collection of “pc” lighting with this table lamp. Very simple and visually refined, this anodized aluminum lamp is characterized by its tulip-shaped lampshade. This light illustrates the work of pierre charpin: a simple vocabulary, elementary shapes mixed with the desire to offer a sensual object. A true quest for simplicity, the pc's sober design fits into all environments. The light source is hidden behind a removable translucent polycarbonate diffuser disc, creating a downward-directed, functional and non-dazzling light. The touch dimmer located on the base of the lamp allows you to vary the intensity of the lighting with a simple gesture of your finger. Designer pierre charpin explains: ''i often talk about sensuality in design. I wanted this lamp to be more sensual than technical, to make the object less demonstrative and more convivial. At the same time as hay was developing its first lighting collection, we worked on the pc lamp project with the common desire to offer a sophisticated and affordable product. As a designer, I want to design objects that can easily cross the boundary between home, office, public space, exterior and interior. The pc lamp is a fine example of this limitless vision of design. What interested me was seeing the lamp as a presence, as a part of the domestic landscape. I wanted the object to be readable as a whole. In french, I would say ''a silhouette''.
