Small oil on panel depicting a beach and some elements of ruined architecture. Signed "L. Carembat" (bottom right). Located/titled and dated on the reverse of the panel: "Côte de Granville. Jersey. August 1898". Unframed. Slight yellowing of the varnish. Marks on the edges from a previous framing. Louis CAREMBAT (1866-1950) was a painter and decorative artist, originally from Paris, who settled in Dinan in the 1920s where he ran an art shop. Please note: this oil is sold unframed; the last three photos are montages to give you an idea of the work framed.
