This superb set of 4 decorative plates is made of Limoges porcelain. This collection pays tribute to the Viennese artist Alfons Mucha and his magnificent works from the Art Nouveau period in the years 1900-1910. It is an ode to women: these plates reproduce the series of paintings "The Hours of the Day" by Alfons Mucha (1860-1939), the master of Art Nouveau posters. The decoration varies throughout the hours of the day: elegant women represent the allegories "Morning Awakening" - "Daylight" - "Evening Reverie" - "Night Rest". The colours of these prints are pastel. Each design is signed "Mucha 99". The rim imitates fine caning and is enhanced with a gold border. These plates are marked on the back "Décor réservé P. Marquet et Fils, Les Palloux St Yrieix 87500, Copyright (c) by SPADEM 1979". These plates date from the 1980s. In very good condition, these plates measure 26.5 cm in diameter.
