Baumann screen signed

Beautiful Baumann screen. This rare model created by the famous chair company in the 1950s is quite ingenious. It was widely copied at the time. It consists of 2 outer studs, a central amount and 84 thin pitchpin blades all tangled like a parquet floor and held by 4 wires that pass inside. This assembly allows it to be deployed, unrolled and rolled up as it pleases. The wave movement is accentuated by the pretty drawing of variations in blade heights. Once rolled up it is easy to store. The baumann signature is visible on the 8 metal plates of the studs. It is 175cm at the highest and 2m developed. This one has lived a little by dint of being unrolled and rolled up! See pictures. It still stands but ideally it would be necessary to change the wires stiffened by time and broken in some places in order to give it all its flexibility and a good tangle of the blades. It can be perfectly used as it is in decoration or fixed separation in a room if it is not required to be moved every day! I cleaned and fed the wood and I therefore offer it at a low price taking into account its condition. Wood varnish in good general condition. Small marks and shards in the wood that are not visible.
