Stool - Audoux and Minnet, 1950.

Stool – Audoux & Minnet, circa 1950. Coarse mesh rush cord on an oak structure, characteristic of the work of Audoux & Minnet. Some signs of use and age are visible in the photos. The cord on one of the legs has been reattached in a rather clumsy manner, but the wooden structure remains perfectly sound and solid. No markings are present. However, this model has been authenticated through similar examples sold by Christie's, notably from the Neo-Senso gallery. For my part, I acquired it from the former CEO of Paris Match, a great enthusiast and collector of design.
