A golden confection, precious, brilliant, perhaps too much so. It embodies luxury, the unique and prestigious moment, artifice, and deliberate superficiality. In this work, the gold adheres to the canvas like an ephemeral jewel. The stones and textures catch the light and draw the eye… a bit like temptation.
