Vintage Eugène Lion stoneware vase

Soft and rounded lines for this soliflore dating from the beginning of the 20th century. Made by eugène lion (and signed), a famous ceramic potter linked to the carriès school of sculptors, this 31 cm high vase is glazed in creamy gray tones with some ochre touches. Eugène lion undoubtedly represents one of the key creators of grès de puisaye. Very active until the eve of the second world war, he leaves behind a high-quality artistic and technical legacy. This rare and aesthetic piece will easily find its place in all types of decor. The enamel work is superb.
