Höfner - 500/3 semi-Hollow Selmer UK 1958

One of the very first hofner semi-hollow basses, Made in 1958 (date on the back of the table), with a micro volume/tone, distributed by selmer in the united kingdom. Particularly rare, it is easier to find the models after 1960, slightly different. A little collector's wonder, high quality bass for professional, sunburst finish. It is perfectly adjusted, very beautiful warm sound, does not suffer from any defect. The mechanics, very precise as well as the pickguard are not original. The bridge is a newer hofner bridge identical to the original, 1 original volume knob provided, the 2 buttons have been replaced. The electronics, perfectly functional is as at the origin.
