Magnificent footed compote dish with an antique dome in Sarreguemines ironstone. The ROYAT model is decorated around the rim and base with a bucolic blue floral transfer in a Japanese style. This footed dish is stamped "ROYAT (model) U&C SARREGUEMINES (factory)". Sarreguemines is a small town in northeastern France renowned for its high-quality ceramics. Circa 1920, Art Deco. Bohemian chic, minimalist style. Exceptional condition. A timeless, shaggy piece. Dimensions: 14 cm - 5.5 in height. 22 cm - 8.75 in width with handle. Weight: 665 g / 1.47 lb / 23.55 oz.
