Large Berkel trade balance, chrome model, 1930s

Large Berkel commercial scale - luxury chrome model from the 1930s/50s. A model that is becoming hard to find. This one is impressive; it is a butcher's counter scale, emblematic of professional commercial equipment from the early 20th century. This fully chrome luxury model stands out for its quality of craftsmanship and elegant industrial aesthetic. It is equipped with a slightly tarnished mirror, as well as a grid for additional weights and two original white enamelled trays (showing slight paint chipping on the metal at one edge, see photo). The Berkel logo in cloisonné enamel highlights the authentic and decorative character of this piece. Functional, it now serves as a superb decorative object for a kitchen, a business, or an industrial interior. In very good overall condition with a lovely patina of use.
