Mid-Century Danish Teak & Beech Desk, 1950s

Very smart danish teak desk dating from the 1950s. Features a three drawer section on one side with storage cabinet on the other. Large bookcase section on the rear. The beech legs contrast well with the teak veneers on the side. Another striking element, particular to this period is the quality of the teak grain. By the 1960s most manufacturers were using cheaper 'farmed teak', though in this period lovely dark-hued mature wide grain teak abounds. Check out our other quality vintage danish desks.
