A very rare chaise longue with ottoman, designed in the 1960s by belgian architect roger de winter. The recline of the chair can be adjusted with the bolts on each side. It has been reupholstered with black leather, as well as new foam filling the cushions. Roger de winter (23/02/1923 - 19/03/2001) was a belgian architect, active between 1948 and 1992. From 1954, de winter started his own practice of residential houses and some small business buildings in the vilvoorde area and brussels. Between 1958 and 1975, he worked mainly as a freelance designer for the furniture manufacturer e.m.y., alongside jean batenborg.
