Sewing box, worker, China XIX th century

Very beautiful couture box, chinese lacquer, canton late nineteenth century; the black lacquered box is decorated with gold painted motifs. This box consists of several compartments. Above a removable compartment containing sewing tools (reels, screw cases etc...), rare because often the box is empty! Underneath, a small drawer hides a writing desk. Wear and tear. Good general condition. Dimensions: 36cm long X 27cm wide X 15cm high. Weight: 2 kg. Very nice object.
