This elegant oil on canvas is attributed to Pierre Garnier (1895-1972), a painter of the Montmartre School. The work features a generous polychrome bouquet in a finely decorated metal planter, set against a backdrop of antique wooden furniture. To the right, an opening onto a marine landscape adds depth and balance to the composition. Trained at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Pierre Garnier was also a decorator before fully dedicating himself to painting and the artistic life of Montmartre.
