A radical icon of Scandinavian design from the 60s and 70s, the “Pastilli” chair, also known as the “Gyro Chair, ” was conceived in 1968 by Finnish designer Eero Aarnio, a master of pop and futuristic furniture. Produced around 1975 by Asko Finnternational in reinforced fibreglass polyester, it is distinguished by its organic shape reminiscent of a flattened sweet. The scooped seat conforms to the body's shapes, while the smooth white shell reflects light like a sculpture. Designer: Eero Aarnio. Manufacturer: Asko Finnternational, Finland.
