✨️ Magnificent rectangular dining table from the 1950s, crafted in oak, this piece stands out for the robustness of its construction, the nobility of its wood essence, and the remarkable quality of its carpentry work. Its natural golden patina perfectly highlights the grain of the oak. ✨️ The tabletop features a superb checkerboard marquetry, reminiscent of the "Versailles" parquet pattern. This play of contrasting wood grains uniquely captures light and brings a graphic elegance that visually lightens the mass of the table. The top is bordered by a wide solid oak edge with right angles, emphasising the geometry of the marquetry. ✨️ The table rests on four imposing solid oak legs, richly carved. They feature a turned profile with successive rings, framed by moulded rings, and end with massive ball-shaped bases. ✨️ Two end extensions are hidden beneath the main tabletop, mounted on bevelled wooden slides. Dimensions with extensions: 258cm. Table in very good general condition for its age. #OakTable. #DiningTable. #CharlesDudouyt. #AntiqueFurniture. #ChicCountryDecor.
