Pair of medallion armchairs in Louis XVI style – 19th century.
Elegant cabriolet armchair with a medallion back in Louis XVI style, an authentic piece from the second half of the 19th century. This seat stands out for its molded beech structure, dressed in a superb original light patina that attests to its authenticity and gives it all the charm of family furniture. The whip-like armrest consoles and the tapered legs with fluted grooves are characteristic of the refinement of this era. The upholstery work is meticulous and high-end: the seat features traditional suspended padding on upholstery springs, ensuring firm comfort, excellent support, and a seat that does not sag. It is covered in a light jacquard fabric with discreet geometric and floral patterns in perfect condition (no stains or wear). An elegant dark piping highlights the curve of the medallion back and the seat for a very chic graphic contrast. A character piece ideal for adding a "Chic Parisian" or "Family Home" touch to a contemporary living room, bedroom, or boudoir. • Style: Louis XVI / Classic / Charm. • Period: 19th century. • Condition: Very good overall condition, perfectly stable and sound structure.
