Brutalist fat lava round vase | West Germany 60s/70s

Superb vintage round vase in West German ceramic, dating from the 1960s - 1970s. A piece with a very pronounced Brutalist / Mid-Century style, characterised by: ✨ An elegant spherical shape encircled by a satin brown band. ✨ Stunning geometric handles sculpted in a stepped design at the neck. ✨ A crusty / lava texture with white foamy bubbles on a contrasting brown background (Fat Lava effect). Marking: Mould number 4928 engraved in relief under the base. Its sculptural style complements vintage, bohemian, wabi-sabi, and brutalist decor equally well. Condition: Good vintage used condition. The body of the vase and the base are sound, but I note a small chip on the inner/upper rim of the neck (see arrow in photo). It is not very visible as it somewhat blends with the raw style of the ceramic and the colour of the terracotta, but it is present. Dimensions: Height 15 cm. Diameter 15 cm.
