Table and 6 Mado chairs

We offer a mado set (for maison dominique in reality), table and 6 chairs, as there are rarely, because this one is massive. This type of furniture is a privileged witness of the life of the 50s which today finds a special place in our interior decorations. Traditionally in pine, the centerpiece of the barbès galleries, its hour of glory preceded that of formica buffets. If we put ourselves in the context of these post-war years, the purchase of this kitchen furniture meant, in addition to the first credit, very often the commitment of a couple who built there, their nest, and more broadly their family life. The sideboard itself (which we also sell) is sometimes called "wedding furniture". The whole therefore breathes, on its own, the perfume of the 50s. But when most are of a lightness that is not a guarantee of durability, this one is robust and its condition testifies that the designer wanted it... Sustainable, even if this term at the time had no ecological connotations. We left it in "its juice", but, here, it is mainly because it is preserved with care. The table adds to its rarity, its ability to expand. It remains indeed, an extension, independent, and in perfect condition (the extension is no longer of the same bath as the rest of the pieces presented). The system works according to the standards of the time and the "accordion" is still extremely functional: 2 hooks allow the ends to be tightened when limiting the extension to find a nice square table, which, again, is rare. The tables of the time were rather long, moreover often narrow. But what would our table be, if it were not accompanied by chairs. Generally, 4 chairs are delivered, here there are 6. This is an exception that becomes accessible. And if you see them passing, they are often doll toys, while these are real!.
