Antique plate in fine earthenware printed in cobalt blue, decorated with stylised floral bouquets associated with a geometric frieze inspired by Japonism and the decorative arts of the late 19th century. The decoration alternates between open roses, floral buds, and angular interlacing in a very graphic composition. The whole piece possesses that discreet elegance of French table arts from before the war, blending English influence and the emerging Art Nouveau taste.
