Fantastic ‘Novemila 9000’ modular sofa in cognac leather, designed by Tito Agnoli for Arflex Italy in 1969. The elements come in their original cognac leather, which is in perfect conditon! This sofa consists of 5 elements, of which one corner. The interesting stichting and curved seats add to the overall look and comfort of the sofa. The individual pieces can also be used as lounge chairs, offering flexibility and versatility. Tito Agnoli (1931-2012) Tito Agnoli was born into an Italian family, in Lima, Peru, in 1931. He came to Italy after the war. Originally trained as a painter (having studied with Sironi), he enrolled in 1949 in the Faculty of Architecture, where he graduated in 1959 and was assistant to Gio Ponti and to Carlo De Carli. However, even in the early Fifties, he was already carrying out an intense professional activity in the field of design where he can boast about the cooperation with prestigious companies of italian market. Several times recommended for the Compasso d’Oro (Golden Compass) Award, in 1986 he won the gold medal at the Neocon in Chicago. Some of his pieces are kept in the permanent collection of the MoMa in New York.
