Mappin & Webb Art Deco silver-plated muffin dish

Antique covered english art deco muffin dish circa 1930. The dish is in 3 parts, a bell with its ebony handle, a round dish that fits into a hollow dish with a wide rim. Can be used as a cooler by putting crushed ice in the lower dish to keep butter cool or a spread for summer aperitifs. Conversely, the base can be filled with hot water to keep the food presented at the right temperature. Stamped underneath triple deposit nappin & webb's prince's plate london & sheffield w 27781 perfect used condition, the dish is not silvered, see photo height 12 cm at the handle of the lid, 4 cm at the neck of the base diameter 19.5 cm at the widest point, 15.6 cm at the bell.
