African ebony lamp, "Hunters, buffalo and crocodile"

Rare and exceptional african ebony sculpture mounted as a table lamp. Hand-carved by a talented sculptor, in a single block of wood. Representing a group of 5 hunters/warriors who are refugees in a tree, above a buffalo attacked by a crocodile. Art makonde, east africa, mid-20th century. New linen lampshade. Excellent condition, efficiency redone, 2 warriors have lost their spears.
