An ancient chinese porcelain plate from the east india company. Rich imari décor featuring a scholar's teapot, and garland of flowers under the wing. Period: xviiith. Slight shine underneath (photo) Diameter 23 cm. Good condition. The east india company began with portugal, then expanded with the dutch and english market to develop in france in 1642 and experienced a real boom from colbert in 1664.la company closed around 1795. Pink family: period from 1730 to early nineteenth century with an opaque enamel dominating pink gold (pale pink, coral red, mauve, salmon and lavender blue).
