Pair of doves in Italian ceramic bisque.

Magnificent pair of earthenware figurines (glazed faience) representing two white doves or pigeons perched on branches. A charming vintage production, typical of Italian craftsmanship from the mid-20th century (Bassano style). These statuettes add a poetic and natural touch to a shelf, sideboard, or can be repurposed as lightweight bookends. The textured plumage work in glossy white superbly contrasts with the shades of green and yellow of the vegetal base. A characteristic luminous glazing, with a fine original crazing (cracked glaze) that attests to their authenticity. Very good vintage condition, with slight glaze losses on the tips of the beaks, discreet and entirely consistent with the age of these ceramics. Total weight 0.540kg.
