CERAMIC GOLD NUGGET FLOWER PICK, RENATO BASSOLI, 1960s

Rare ceramic flower pick with a gold glaze, made in the 1960s by italian ceramist renato bassoli, a close friend of lucio fontana. The relief is cracked and cloudy. Its rounded shape evokes that of a gold nugget. The surface is pierced with eleven openings to accommodate the flowers. Slight losses and patina to the enamel, good overall condition.
