3 Tubor chairs by Ecart International (1980s) Model in beautifully crafted black lacquered steel. Rubber pads under the seat (to stack them without scratching) and under the base. The Tubor originally dates back to the 1930s and was popularised by Robert Mallet-Stevens and later by Andrée Putman, who reissued it through Ecart International from 1978. This model is a reissue from Ecart International (RMS marking on the underside of the chair). The model presented here is an original (much rarer for sale than the unmarked reissues); some signs of corrosion on the bottom of the rungs. Dimensions: height 825mm (seat 440mm); width 400mm; depth 470mm. Price: indicated per piece (3 identical chairs available) Source: "Le mobilier industriel" by Brigitte Burieux.
