Pretty and large cup or mug in brown enamelled stoneware speckled with gray. It is original in the shape and size of the handle which allows a very good grip with the whole hand, ideal for those who like to "walk around" with their cup while warming their hands. It has underneath, a hollow stamp which indicates “arts-céram grand feu”. This stamp is the stamp of the pottery workshop of michel pointu, son and grandson of recognized potters, and his wife denise pointud-detraz in a small village near saint amand de puisaye. This workshop only existed between 1951 and 1963, so we can date this cup to this relatively short period. And for a mug that is over sixty years old, it is in incredible condition! Not even a chip, the enamelling is perfectly smooth and shiny, I think it was kept in a display case without ever having been used. It measures 12.5 cm in height, 8 cm in diameter, 16 cm in width including the handle.
