This superb pitcher is made of light green bubbled glass. Large in size, it is a pretty punch or orangeade pitcher in a modernist style - typical of the 1960s and 70s. It is mouth-blown using a craft technique characteristic of biot glassworks. At the base, you can see the trace of the breakage of the cane to blow the glass. Biot bubbled glass has existed since 1956, when glassmakers succeeded in creating bubbled glass: by controlling the bubble, trapping it between two layers of glass, thus making a defect a quality. Between tradition and creation, each biot glassworks is unique, because it is mouth-blown by master glassmakers. Depending on the season, the products come in all colors: sand pink, lime, amethyst, persian blue, amber... Pastel and sparkling colors at the same time. It can also be used as a large vase for dried flowers or pampas... In good condition, this pitcher measures 33.5 cm in height and 20 cm in diameter. It is heavy and stable, I note scratches from use. I did not see a legible signature.
