Large Art Deco round vase in amber glass signed Fains, circa 1930.

Important Art Deco vase (circa 1930) in blown-moulded amber/mandarin glass, signed "Fains" underneath the base. A character piece from the famous Verrerie de Fains (Meuse, Lorraine), renowned for its exceptional glassmaking skills during the interwar period. This vase captivates with its powerful geometric lines, its curved profile with shoulders, and its amber colour with immense luminosity. The decoration features a refined play of textures alternating between smooth, shiny bands and satin-finished stylised patterns (probably acid-etched or sandblasted), all highlighted by delicate original gold filigree. The signature "Fains" is engraved clearly at the tip underneath the vase. In very good overall condition for its age. The glass is sound and luminous, without chips or cracks. Note slight wear on the gilding in places and discreet micro-scratches from contact underneath the base, which attest to its authenticity (see photos).
