Spectacular Tulipan chandelier from the Austrian house Kalmar, dating from the 1960s-1970s. This remarkable light fixture consists of 73 elements made of blown transparent and bubbled glass, in elegant stylised tulip shapes, arranged in several rows around a metal structure. The layering of the glass elements creates a generous, almost organic sculptural volume, characteristic of the grand lighting creations of this period. When off, the chandelier reveals the richness of its textured glass. When lit, it offers a magnificent play of light and transparency, both warm and sparkling. Its patinated brass suspension highlights the elegance of the whole. An exceptional decorative piece, particularly spectacular above a dining table.
