Modernist chandelier from the 1950s in metal, brass and opaline globe. This chandelier with simple and elegant lines will adapt to many interiors. Indeed this modernist design is timeless and finds its place in a vintage, scandinavian as well as contemporary style. Good quality work and design worked like the black lacquered metal tips or brass corollas that are under the opaline globes. The ram cover is also made of black lacquered metal. This chandelier can be attributed to the maison lunel or arlus who are french publishers of lighting very active in the 1950s and close to the modernist movement. I did not find this model in my research but it could be a new model or another designer given its provenance. Indeed this chandelier belonged to my grandparents and came from the palace of the consuls of rouen. My grandfather was responsible for the maintenance of this building in the 1950s and 1960s, so he lived on site in the function apartments which were partially furnished. It is therefore possible that this chandelier dressed each apartment and that it was a special order for the palace of the consuls. This chandelier has always been in this apartment then it was dismantled in the 1960s when they moved and then kept in a cardboard box until today. It is in good condition. Some traces of oxidation are present on the central tip. It is fully removable but it will be delivered as in the last photo to facilitate its assembly. 97cm X 55cm maximum between opalines. 70cm high ceiling to the tip. 7cm maximum diameter for the ram cover.
