Oil on wood bouquet of flowers with a knife – Signed LB 77

Charming oil on wood panel depicting a bouquet of flowers in a blue vase, signed with the monogram LB and dated 1977. A particularly expressive painting, created with brush and knife, featuring generous impasto that gives the flowers an almost sculptural relief. The composition combines soft tones of pink, yellow, cream white, and green with a blue vase in greyish hues, creating a warm and delicately vintage atmosphere. The free treatment of the flowers and the richness of the material evoke a post-impressionist painting, in the spirit of decorative still lifes from the mid-20th century. Presented in a wide antique moulded wooden frame, with simple lines and natural tones, particularly well-suited to the painting.
