Stunning set of 4 Directoire period chairs in cherry wood from the early 19th century. A very beautiful ensemble of superb quality, resting on fluted legs connected by wooden stretchers, which significantly enhances their sturdiness. Openwork backs and the fluid silhouette give the whole a great decorative elegance. The chairs are upholstered in a very fine red velvet. The upholstery is recent and does not require reupholstering. In very good used condition with a magnificent patina. Seat height of 46cm. Please note: One chair's backrest needs to be re-glued.
