Crystal dish by Wiskemann

Period: ca. 1930. This attractive and qualitative set offers a chic way to serve foam or fish roe, for example. The thick crystal rectangular plate sits on its silver top. The dish has a star carved on the bottom. The silver lid has a salmon-shaped fretel; the level of detail is impressive. The tray is hallmarked with "wiskemann", a company renowned for its high-quality items. This goldsmith company from brussels, belgium, was active between 1870 and 1970 and specialized in the production of silver tableware for the hotel and restaurant sector. It was world famous with its heyday between the two world wars. Status: good. Some oxidation marks on the tray, but these are under the container and therefore not visible. The container has a micro nibble on the inner edge under the lid, and therefore not visible when the lid is in place. Dimensions: top 20.7 X 18 cm, container 13 X 9.5 cm, 7.5 cm high, 0.73 kg.
