An original pair of “Stefan” armchairs, produced in Poland in the 1960s by Swarzędzkie Fabryki Mebli, one of the most important furniture manufacturers in post-war Poland and a key contributor to Polish modernist design. The “Stefan” model is a highly regarded example of Polish mid-century modernism, combining clean, well-balanced proportions with excellent ergonomics and everyday comfort. The slender wooden frame with gently profiled armrests gives the chairs a light, elegant appearance, while the traditional spring-based seat construction ensures a high level of comfort. The armchairs have undergone a full professional restoration in our workshop. The wooden structure has been carefully refreshed and finished by hand, preserving the original character of the design. Upholstery has been executed in high-quality nubuck cowhide leather, hand-dyed and waxed. The leather develops a natural, desirable patina over time, enhancing the character and authenticity of the piece. The leather is dyed using approved aromatic amines and finished in accordance with traditional upholstery standards. Thanks to their timeless form and refined materials, these armchairs work beautifully in both classic modernist interiors and contemporary spaces seeking an authentic vintage accent. Condition: Excellent, fully restored. Quantity: Set of 2 armchairs. Dimensions (per chair) • Width: 77 cm. • Depth: 80 cm. • Height: 75 cm.
