The artist is guided by the personality of the reclaimed oak pieces to create a harmonious ensemble that reflects the wood's unique history. The surface is hand-carved until reaching the healthy wood, thereby shaping irregularities, signs of time, and a relief reminiscent of waves. The whole is then burned to achieve a deep black hue with coppery undertones. Finally, a massage with Tung oil provides a soft touch patina.
