Ilmari Tapiovaara dining set for Laukaan Puu, Finland 1963

Rare complete set designed by ilmari tapiovaara in 1963 consisting of a table of 2 chairs, 2 stools and a bench. Mountain chalet spirit, soft and warm, like charlotte perriand, ilmari tapiovaara also cut his teeth with le corbusier. Made of solid pine, thick, combining a raw and minimalist style and subtle details, characteristic of the designer. The pieces are assembled by exposed pegs, leaving a space between the elements. The chair has a hollow seat and a worked backrest. Practical, all the seats are stored under the table. Exceptional condition. The whole has been restored, fully sanded, satin varnished and has no defects. Table: 160x81cm height 73 cm. Bench: 148x35cm height 44 cm. Stools: 35x35 cm height 44 cm. Chairs: 41x44 cm height 75 cm seat 44cm.
