Elegant and full of charm, these two ironstone raviers with stylized floral decoration evoke all the softness of the tables of the 50s. Their small delicately printed flowers, typical of this era, are part of a very sought-after retro-country spirit with burgundy red and soft green shades enhanced with borders. Their sober and slightly hollow shape makes them pieces as decorative as they are practical: to present fruits, olives, biscuits or simply to enhance a vintage kitchen shelf. Unstamped, they bear hollow marks on the back (numbers and star on the back: a "3" and a star on one, "4" and a star on the other), probably workshop marks. Their style, their fine paste and their decoration bring them very close to the productions of Keller and Guérin in Lunéville or Digoin Sarreguemines, among the famous earthenware factories of Eastern France. Their patterns, shape, and finish perfectly match the "Mary Lou" model published by Digoin Sarreguemines, which some similar pieces bear the stamp. Dimensions: 21.5 cm long and 14.5 cm wide. Very good vintage condition - no chips, no cracks, very shiny, no micro scratches from use. A tender and poetic duo, perfect for a chic flea market table decoration, an old-fashioned brunch, or a touch of nostalgia in a contemporary kitchen.
