Plywood children's chair by gunnar daan for gunnar daan, 1960s

A children's high chair - although there is no provenance, this chair is believed to be one of the prototypes made as a model for gunnar daan's high chair produced by metz & co in amsterdam in 1966. The chair was designed by gunnar daan for his own children in 1966 after which metz & co took it in production. The concept of the chair was that it should be cut from one sheet of plywood with as little wastage as possible. Later models were made with a footrest added to the main stem. The condition is very good with no damage and a desirable patina to the wood. The seat height is 54cm.
