Slatted screen – Baumann style – 1950s – Solid pine

Screen made of solid pine slats, in the Baumann style, from the 1950s. Assembly of jointed slats mounted on a flexible support allowing for folding or complete rolling. The upper edge features a regular wave cut, a formal characteristic of the Baumann style from the 1950s. The wood, with a warm orange to honey brown hue, is finished with a glossy varnish that highlights the grain and natural knots of the pine. The overall piece shows stripes and signs of wear consistent with several decades of use, without major structural alteration. Cleaning is required. Overall condition is fair. Dimensions: H. 182 cm.
