The Vitra Organic Highback is an iconic armchair designed by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen, originally created in 1940 for the Organic Design in Home Furnishings competition at MoMA. This model is a later Vitra production from the 1980s, featuring the distinctive sculptural high backrest and elegantly curved armrests that have made the Organic chair a landmark in modern furniture design. The seat shell is upholstered in a vibrant orange fabric, providing a bold mid-century modern character, while the slim black legs give the piece a refined, architectural presence. Comfortable, ergonomic and visually striking, it works beautifully as a reading chair, lounge piece or statement accent chair.
