This stunning glass pendant chandelier, model 'tulipan, ' was designed by j.t. Kalmar and produced in vienna, austria, during the late 1960s to early 1970s. Its name, 'tulipan, ' is inspired by the tulip-shaped hand-blown bubble glass pieces that form the centerpiece of its design. Each of the 70 glass elements is handmade, making every piece unique. Suspended by thin chains from a white enameled ceiling plate, the glasses are arranged into a striking globe-like formation, radiating timeless elegance. The chandelier is documented in kalmar's 1972 catalog, affirming its status as an iconic mid-century design. With an adjustable total height of approximately 55" (140 cm), the chains can be shortened or extended to suit your space. While the chandelier is in beautiful condition overall, there are two minor cracks in two glass piece, a subtle imperfection that doesn’t detract from its overall grandeur.
