A tribute to Lucio Fontana. A clean, simplistic, and very chic design. Beige lacquered metal base, resting on chrome-plated metal feet. The shade is a stretchy beige jersey fabric (original), which envelops a sculptural frame of metal rods. Excellent condition. One tiny hole near the base of the fabric. Nothing significant, see photos. Kazuhide Takahama: K. Takahama is a Japanese designer born in Miyazaki, Japan. After graduating from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1953, Takahama designed the Japanese Pavilion for the Milan Triennale. It was there that he met Dino Gavina, with whom he collaborated several times over the next decade. Later, Takahama also collaborated with B&B Italia, Simon, Sirrah, and Knoll, to name a few. His designs are clear in their lines and forms and exhibit high-quality design. A pure and well-defined stylistic vocabulary. With the functionalist approach of modernism, he designed with a Japanese sense of materials and aesthetics, comfortably blending them with Western elements.
