Pair of Directoire armchairs in cherry wood, stamped "F: Geny", a French cabinetmaker active under Louis XVI. They feature a curved and carved openwork backrest, saber-shaped rear legs, and a padded seat. One armchair has been reinforced subsequently. France, late 18th, early 19th century.
