As early as 1784, pierre langeron, a public works contractor, noted, during the digging of the canal du centre (71), the richness of the subsoil, and in particular the quality and plasticity of the local white clays. This large jar, stamped with the pont des vernes manufacture, is in perfect condition and still has its cork stopper. Glazed beige gray color. It is quite rare to find them in this state and format.
