Very beautiful naturalised ostrich egg (Struthio camelus) (emptied) mounted on a base of gilded brass and brown marble. Napoleon III Empire style (19th century). One foot is missing and there is slight detachment of the gilded spheres at the base (see photos). Can form a pair.
